| Monday 9 August: | Delhi to Mandi by train then road (more road than expected because the line was washed out before Chandigarh). |
| Tuesday 10 August: | Drive from Mandi to Manali. |
| Wednesday 11 August: | Wait to get over the Rohtang Pass (blocked by landslide). |
| Thursday 12 August: | Drive and short walk to camp at the start of the trek. |
